Phil Moore founded The Moore Insurance Agency in April of 1994. Mr. Moore had worked for several prestigious agencies for sixteen years and embarked on founding his own agency based on his philosophy of personalized service that served him so well in his career. 

The Moore Insurance Agency was first located in downtown Albany, New York, specializing in the sales and service of large commercial accounts.

During the first five years of operation, the agency grew with the addition of sales and service support staff.  The agency outgrew its first location and expanded to new offices on Everett Road in December of 1999.  With substantial commercial lines volume the agency purchased an agency specializing in personal lines and hired several seasoned personal lines representatives to handle this important line of coverage. 

In April 2004, the agency celebrated its 10th anniversary!  Due to the continued growth of the agency’s commercial and personal lines books of business, it was once again time for a move. 

We purchased and renovated the agency’s current office building in historic Watervliet, New York, in April of 2005.

As one of the largest Insurance Agencies in the Capital District of New York, The Moore Insurance Agency is positioned for continued growth in both the commercial and personal markets. Our friendly and experienced staff welcomes the challenge of handling your personal and business insurance needs.
